Nice loop, almost exclusively forest. Little concrete, mainly forest roads with singletrack in between. Can be combined with blue and green loop (not driven) Pleasant route.

On the advice of a colleague, I went to Lille Beerse to grind some autumn kilometers. With a low sun and a very dry trail, I immediately found what I always hope to encounter on a loop: single-tracks, small climbs, a jump,... The red loop is the most technical of the three in Lille Beerse. You will come across most single tracks there and they are very good (short bends, long bends,...). I was also very impressed by the signaling of high-lying roots, sawn-off tree stumps and the arrowheads themselves. I probably didn't drive past a single (treacherous) carrot that wasn't fluorescently painted. So that means that the somewhat more insecure MTB rider does not have to worry much about driving diagonally over a carrot and losing control of it. Kudos to the maintenance team, because I can imagine that that is a lot of work. The loop is not 100% forest so you do get some connectors under your wheels to connect the interesting forests together. You can then use those pieces to raise your average or… just rest and enjoy the environment. Free to choose of course. I definitely recommend this loop because in itself you will find almost everything an XC MTB rider could desire. If you would like to discover the loop visually, be sure to click through to the following link. This way you immediately know where to expect what and especially where you can check your mates ;-)!
