Sauerland
The Sauerland is a medium mountain range in the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse. It is known for its rich forests, major valleys and hill tops that reach over 800 meters. These characteristics make the Sauerland a favorite destination among mountain bike enthusiasts. The Sauerland offers a vast netwerk of waymarked routes. These routes are suitable for both novice and experienced riders and can be combined into even larger routes. The fitness level required for each route is indicated through different colors: light (blue), average (red) and hard (black).
