After 5 km a barricade comes and you cannot pass it. After complicated clambering we were able to continue but that is not advisable. You can drive over the first 5 km on asphalt.

A nice intermediate level course. Good for a family with older kids. Lots of variety. Ignore the steep climb (walk) at the beginning. The rest of the route is a fun challenge, but not too difficult. Good place to learn more about the sport of mountain biking.

Nice route, brutal climb at the start. After 5 km you cycle in a local dispute: the route is barricaded by two landowners who apparently do not feel much for the (in) right of way. The diehard can cycle further but that requires some scrambling, a few gates, a meadow and a ditch before you can continue. Furthermore, a sign is missing at km15 in the neighborhood of Hubermont. Turn left there.

It is already the 3rd time I do this and the climb in the beginning is very heavy and long but I get it again and again with difficulty. And the heavy is well done honestly but you must also do this tour after so A climb. There is still a technical descent between but the rest is pretty quiet to my say. Certainly the effort is to test your fitness. If you get the climb in the beginning then you can already do quite a bit ??

The whole nice route that is good is if you have a bit of fitness and experience. The first climb outside the village is an impossible task. You will get an honorable mention in the La Roche guide if you get it cycling. They can promise them quietly, because nobody will get that. Furthermore, everything was cycling. Nice alternate trip with only a small part over the paved road. Do not tempt yourself in the descent to get tough, because sometimes there is a treacherous turn. Together with my son cycled and enjoyed the trip. Very helpful by The Bike Zone in La Roche when renting a bicycle and very convenient for downloading and navigating the site. Because the signs are sometimes difficult or completely bleached. The Bike Zone and the ones are recommended.
